FACIMMO PACE
Sapevo ch’ero pe’ te trasparente,
pure ‘o saluto mò tu m’he levato
‘e ccose faccio comme fosse niente
ma nun me trovo a te vedè ‘ngrifato.
Diceme tu, c’aggio a fà, pe’ fa’ pace,
‘e scuse nun te songono servute,
nun t’he vuluto ancora fa’ capace,
chiù so’ sincera e chiù nun m’he creduto.
Stanotte nun me songo arrepusata,
si pure nu poco ‘e suonno me faccio,
me sonno ‘e sta’ cu te sempe abbracciata,
ma nun ce sta calore int’a sti braccie.
Manco cu sta poesia tu t’arrienne,
me pare ch’è na bella serenata,
e dimme a quale scusa mò t’appienne
pe’ sta’ cu mme ancora ‘ntussecato.

LET’S MAKE PEACE
I thought you were transparent,
now you even removed the greeting,
I pretend nothing happened,
but I don’t like seeing you hangry.
Now, tell me how should I make peace with you,
apologies didn’t work.
I didn’t convince you yet,
the more I’m true and the more you are not trusting me.
This night I didn’t sleep,
I closed my eyes and rested,
I dream to stay with you cuddled,
but I don’t feel warmth in your arms.
You don’t give up even to these words,
and yet they are a nice serenade.
Now tell me which excuse you will find
for keeping in being crossed with me.
